Police investigate 'body found' on Dover seafront shelter

Police are investigating after reports a body was found on a seafront shelter.

Forensics officers were also called to Marine Parade in Dover at just after 9am today.

Caleb Pullen is a manager at the Table Table restaurant nearby.

He said: "I didn't know something had happened until my staff told me.

"There was a large police presence there."

A local woman, who did not want to be named, said: "I arrived here and saw all these police.

"Workmen nearby told me a body had been found there.

"It's very sad."

The death is not being treated as suspicious and a report is being prepared for the coroner.
