Police arrest 15-year-old boy over sexual assault allegations at Duke of York's Royal Military School in Dover

A 15-year-old boy has been arrested on suspicion of raping a teenage girl at a military boarding school.

Police are investigating the allegations of sexual assault at the Duke of York's Royal Military School in Dover.

Two incidents are alleged to have taken place between September 2014 and April 2016.

Police confirmed that both the alleged victim and suspect are known to each other.

The boarding school, which is part funded by the Ministry of Defence, serves pupils aged 11 to 18.

It prides itself on its military ethos, with many pupils coming from services families.

A police spokesman said: "Kent Police are investigating allegations of sexual assault involving a teenage girl at a Dover school.

"A 15-year-old boy has been arrested in connection with the reports and enquiries are ongoing."
