The rear passenger wheel of a silver Renault Clio has been stolen from a car in Castle Avenue.

Its owner Heather Macleod, a trainee accountant of Dover, parked her car on the road at 8pm on Monday night.

But at 7am on Tuesday morning, she noticed the wheel missing.

She said: “I had to get a lift to work on Tuesday and took Wednesday off to get it fixed otherwise I wouldn’t get a chance to until the weekend.”

Miss Macleod said that someone used their own car jack to remove it and left it next to the vehicle.
