Kent's Coastguard service is the first port of call in a seabound emergency.

In any weathers, the Coastguard can send help to trapped sailors or huge ships.

In the second in our week-long peek into the lives of our county's lifesavers, we turn our attention towards the coastguard.

Nestled high on the White Cliffs of Dover, the town’s branch of The Maritime and Coastguard Agency keeps watch over the Worlds busiest shipping lane – The Dover Strait.
