A BIG police operation was underway at Dover docks today as hundreds of England football supporters headed for Amsterdam for tonight's friendly international match against Holland.

At least 12 English fans were arrested. Three had two-year bans imposed on them, and six were due to appear before magistrates at Folkestone where similar bans were likely to be applied for.
