A lorry is stuck on a grass verge in Melbourne Avenue in Dover and is blocking traffic.

It is just outside Dover Christchurch Academy at the roundabout.

Residents were diverting traffic until police arrived on the scene at around 1.20pm this afternoon (Tuesday).

A spokesman for Kent Police said: "It's got stuck while trying to do a manoeuvre.

"The lorry is blocking the road and police are now on the scene."

It is believed officers may close the road until the lorry can be moved.
