Teenage driver in tree crash tragedy

An 18-year-old man was killed when his car left the road and careered into a fence and a tree.

Kent Police say the tragedy happened at around 8.30pm on Wednesday on the Alkham Valley Road near Dover.

The teenager was driving a blue Renault Clio and travelling from the Folkestone direction towards River. The crash happened close to Kearsney Abbey.

The young man was pronounced dead at the scene by paramedics. He has not yet been named.
