Thief targets man in wheelchair in Dover alleyway

Police are hunting a thief who snatched the wallet of a disabled pensioner in Dover.

The victim, aged in his late 60s, was travelling down an alleyway parallel to Maison Dieu Road in his wheelchair, which had shopping bags on either side, when he was targeted.

The suspect approached him before snatching his wallet containing cash and cards and running off towards Dour Street.

The theft happened between 8.30am and 8.45am on Saturday.

Police have now issued a description of the suspect. He was white, aged between 30 and 40, 6ft 3in and wearing black jogging trousers, trainers and a fleecy top.
