Tradesmen warned after thieves target vans

POLICE are again advising tradesmen to remove all tools from their vans after three were broken into in the Dover and Deal area overnight.

A van parked on a driveway in Downs Road, East Studdal, was targeted sometime between 6pm and 7am on Tuesday. Power tools were stolen, including a nail gun and two Hitachi drills.

Meanwhile a transit van parked in Kingsdown Road, St Margarets at Cliffe, was broken into between 11.15pm on Monday and 8am on Tuesday. A Makita drill, a Dewalt drill and a Dealt saw were taken.

In the third incident a petrol strimmer, hedge trimmer and leaf vacuum were stolen from a van parked in Mongeham Road, Great Mongeham, between 9.30pm and 4.55am.
