Truck wedged under railway bridge

TRAFFIC was delayed after a lorry became stuck under a railway bridge at Kearsney Railway Station at Alkham Road, Dover.

Police were called to the scene at about 6.50am on Tuesday. The road was blocked until about 11.10am while the lorry was recovered and an inspection of the bridge was carried out to make sure it was safe.

An ambulance was called as a precaution but the Hungarian lorry driver was unhurt.
