A "violent incident" has left one person with serious injuries, transport police have said.

Officers were called to Aylesham railway station last night and it has since launched an investigation.

In a post on Twitter they wrote: "Arrests have been made and enquires are ongoing at this time.

"Anybody with information is urged to call us on 0800405040 or via text 61016 quoting reference 278-01/11/2020."

British Transport Police were contacted for more information but refused to comment further at this stage.
