Witnesses needed after man suffers facial injuries in assault at flat in London Road, Dover

A man was taken to hospital with a serious facial injury after an assault.

Police now need witnesses.

It happened between 10.30pm and 11pm on Sunday at a flat in London Road, Dover.
Officers are describing the attack on the man, who is in his 50s, as a serious assault.

Investigating officer Det Con Jeff Brunger said: ‘We are currently trying to establish the circumstances of the incident and are appealing for anyone who has any information to contact us.

‘We would also like to hear from anyone who saw or heard anything suspicious in the area between those times.’

At 11.49pm the same evening a woman in her 20s from the Dover area was arrested in the town centre on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm to that victim and three counts of assaulting police.

She has been bailed until May 17 while enquiries continue.
