Woman in 20s taken to hospital after she was reportedly hit by a car in Dover

A woman in her 20s has been taken to hospital after she was hit by a car in Dover.

Kent Police received a report that a pedestrian had been knocked down in Folkestone Road at 2.45pm today (Wednesday).

Officers and paramedics including one ambulance and one ambulance car was sent to the scene.

The young woman suffered head injuries and was treated at the scene before being taken to William Harvey Hospital in Ashford.

A spokesman for Kent Police said: "Kent Police received a report of a collision involving a car and a female pedestrian at 2.42pm on Wednesday, November 18."
