RESIGNED: Danny Chapman

DOVER Athletic have announced that midfielder Danny Chapman has rejoined the club after weeks of speculation.

Chapman played at Eastbourne Borough last season in the Nationwide Conference South and took part in the Conference National play-offs, narrowly missing out on promotion.

Dover chairman Jim Parmenter said: "Clive Walker is a big admirer of Danny and like Lee Spiller, Tony Browne and Tommy Tyne, Danny believes Dover are going places this season so was prepared to make the two-league drop to be part of it.

"We thought we would miss out on Danny because of budget constraints, but we have juggled things and someone has come forward with some extra cash towards the deal.

"Also Danny himself has been very reasonable with the club.

"We are delighted that the deal has been completed, this significantly strengthens the squad and we are all looking forward to the season."
