Dover boss Chris Kinnear is determined to make Crabble a fortress and wants the home fans to help him do it.

He said: “I hope they (the fans) get behind the lads again this season. It’s going to be a long season and every point will be vital.

“They’ve got to stick with us – it’s pointless getting on people’s backs.

“A lot of the side are young lads and we want people to get behind them.

“If they don’t, well, that will make it hard for them (his players).”

With the big kick-off against FC Halifax at Crabble on Saturday, Kinnear said everything was set.

He said: “Everything is being done properly at the club, both on and off the pitch. I’m excited and so is everybody else.

“A win would be a great way to cap it all off.”
