Sammy Moore has a badly-gashed mouth

Hendon v Dover

Dover Athletic go into tonight’s Ryman League Premier Division game at Hendon as joint leaders following Saturday’s thrilling 3-2 win over Ashford Town (Middlesex).

Andy Hessenthaler’s side made it six wins out of seven matches after coming back from 2-1 down to defeat Ashford thanks to a second-half goal from James Rogers.

But Hessenthaler will be without Sammy Moore for the Hendon game after the midfielder, who joined Whites during the summer, went off against Ashford with a badly-gashed mouth which required 33 stitches. He will be ruled out for two weeks.

Moore said: "I’ve had a bit of bad luck since coming here with a couple of knocks - but hopefully I’ll get more luck when I get back from this small setback.

"It was great the lads did the job on Saturday and got three points.

"We have a lot of belief we can do great things this season."
