Boss Chris Kinnear insists it’s not the end of the world after watching his Dover side slide to back-to-back defeats.

After being knocked out the FA Cup by Stourbridge on Saturday, Whites tasted their first league defeat at Crabble this season after losing 2-1 to Eastleigh on Tuesday.

Despite the losses, Kinnear is adamant now is not the time to start panicking.

He said: “There is no need to start overreacting because we’ve now lost two in a row and besides, we should have definitely got something out of Tuesday’s game.

"It’s not panic stations at all as far as I am concerned.

“Of course it’s disappointing to lose any match you play, but that happens.

“There are people thinking it’s all doom and gloom and that’s because we had been used to winning and as a club we all enjoyed that winning feeling.

“But they shouldn’t feel like that - we are third on the table. You can be sure that there are 21 other teams below us who would like to be where we are.

“We cannot afford to let ourselves get too down after these two losses. We got to get on with it and not feel sorry for ourselves.”
