Dover ended a 279 minute goal-scoring drought with their midweek Kent Senior Cup semi-final defeat of Bromley.

But scoring goals away from home has not been a problem this season and assistant manager Jake Leberl is keen to keep it that way on Saturday – and for the rest of the Skrill South campaign.

Play-off chasing Whites head to Bishop’s Stortford determined to hold on to fifth-place.
Leberl knows there are other sides keen to grab the final play-off berth from his side.

He said: “There are four or five – it’s so wide open. There is no question about it.
“It’s going to take a huge effort to keep hold of it (fifth place) but the players are not lacking in confidence.

“We haven’t got the results we wanted in the league of late (two 0-0 draws and a 1-0 loss, all at home) but it hasn’t been through a lack of trying. We have had chances in all of those games – we didn’t take them.

“Scoring goals has been a concern but it’s not all doom and gloom. We are still fifth and in contention – that’s what counts.”

As for the trip to Bishop’s Stortford, Leberl said boss Chris Kinnear should have a full squad to pick from. That will include defender Callum Davies, on loan from Gillingham.

Ricky Gabriel, Liam Bellamy, Michael Kamara, Ricky Modeste, Elliott Charles and Jeff Goulding all played against Bromley and will be pushing for a place.
