Dover's return to National League action has been postponed due to Covid-19.

Whites were due to play for the first time since November 21 at Maidenhead this evening - but that game was postponed just hours before kick-off.

Dover said the game was postponed "due to one of our players testing positive for Covid-19".

After playing eight matches in the opening month of the campaign, Andy Hessenthaler's men completed just two games in November.

Their trip to Wealdstone last month was postponed due to a potential Covid outbreak among the Dover squad - but all the tests came back negative.

Dover have confirmed that their first-team staff and players are now self-isolating for 14 days in accordance with National League protocols.

It means a total of five matches have been postponed.

They are at home to Chesterfield (December 5) and Solihull Moors (December 8), and then away to Wrexham (December 12) and Wealdstone (December 15).

Dover are now scheduled to return to action in the FA Trophy on Saturday, December 19.
