Dover Athletic goalkeeper Mitch Walker keen for more success in Vanarama Conference clash with Grimsby Town at Crabble

Dover had to settle for a point after they drew the Vanarama Conference clash at Grimsby Town 1-1 last August.

Goalkeeper Mitch Walker sees no reason why his side cannot earn all three points when Whites play the third-placed former Football League team at Crabble tonight (7.45pm).

Walker said: “The game was pretty even up there and we’ve come a long, long way since then.

“That was only our third game back in the league so to get a point there was a tremendous effort and we could have won it had we not missed a last-gasp penalty.

“But what is important now is that we have got to think about the present and not what happened in the past.

“We’ve won our past three league games and that’s a fantastic effort at any level, let alone in this league. We’ve now got to ensure we carry that momentum into this game and I see no reason why we can't.

“Yes, they may be another big former Football League team, but we are not daunted by playing against sides of that pedigree. We’ve proved that this season."

Whites are 10th ahead of the clash, 10 points out of the play-offs.
