DOVER ATHLETIC are in the middle of discussions with a consortium, headed by former director Jim Parmenter, to take control of the club.

Current chairman Mick Kemp says he is happy to step down if an official offer is made.

Parmenter, a former Margate chairman, wants assurances the club can clear it's debts of £48,000 before investing to secure the long term future of the Whites.
