Matt Young's brief career at Dover is over after the young defender was released by the club by mutual consent on Tuesday.

The Essex-born 21-year-old former Southampton, Sheffield Wednesday and Carlisle United man arrived on a non-contract basis at Crabble early last month.

He made two appearances as a substitute in the Vanarama National League opener at Barrow and the home clash with Kidderminster.
