A2 London Road closed in Faversham after man hit by van

The A2 is currently closed in both directions due to a pedestrian being hit by a van.

The air ambulance, police and paramedics were called to the A2 London Road, Faversham, at about 3.45pm.

The road is shut between Love Lane and Brenley Corner

Having been at the scene for more than an hour, officers have now closed the route in both directions between Love Lane and the Brenley Corner junction for the M2.

A male pedestrian has been flown to a London hospital.

Motorists are being urged to find alternatives route in and out of Faversham.
