Air Ambulance called to reported stabbing in Faversham

The air ambulance landed in a park last night following reports of a stabbing.

A video shows the helicopter landing at the recreation ground in Faversham.

The night-time callout is believed to be in connection with a stabbing in the Church Road area.

Ground crews and police were also said to have been called to the incident.

A police spokesperson said: "Police were called to Church Road, Faversham at 10.48pm following a report of an assault.

"A man in his 40s suffered an injury consistent with a stab wound.

"He was taken by air ambulance to a London hospital for treatment and was later discharged.

"Enquiries are ongoing to establish the circumstances of the incident.
