Air ambulance at crash on M2 between junction 5 for Sittingbourne and junction 6 for Faversham

A person has been flown to a London hospital after a crash on the M2

The incident happened between junction five for the A249 to Sittingbourne and junction 6 for Faversham on the coastbound carriageway.

The air ambulance was called. Picture: John Nurden.

Emergency services were called at 9.55am and one person was taken to Kings College Hospital in a serious condition.

Lane two of the coastbound carriageway remained closed to allow for barrier repair works but these were completed at around 2pm.
