It seems this BMW driver took a wrong turn last night when they ended up in the Swale creek at Harty Ferry.

It is believed the driver of the car, a young male, drove towards the end of the slipway and accidentally became stuck in the mud.

Local fisherman Bluey and a number of residents from Harty Ferry Cottages attempted to remove the car but it was firmly wedged in the sludge.

The flashy 2001 motor was then submerged by the water at high tide as the car's lights and alarm were seen and heard as the car slowly went under water.

The car had still not been removed this morning and another high tide is due this afternoon at approximately 3pm.
