Bobby Davro and Bob Geldof were just some of the special guests at a charity snooker event on Saturday night.

Raising cash for the British Heart Foundation and the Little Haven’s Children’s Hospice, comedian, actor and former Celebrity Big Brother housemate Mr Davro hosted the event at the Faversham Club in Gatefield Lane.

He was joined by 2015 World Snooker Champion Stuart Bingham, former world champion Ken Doherty and snooker referee Glen Sullivan Bissett.

Event organiser Colin Phillips and Bobby Davro.

Organiser Colin Philips said afterwards: “It was an absolutely amazing night.

“Bobby Davro was great, cracking jokes and playing games with everyone in between the snooker matches.

“I would like to thank everyone for supporting the event, particularly the Spice Lounge restaurant and everyone at the Faversham Creek Hotel.”

The Faversham Creek Hotel gave all of the stars free accommodation and the Spice Lounge offered free food.

David Selves said: "We're delighted to help such a worthy cause, and we had some great fun with the boys, though there were a few folk in the bar taking a double look especially when they could hear voices they recognised but couldn't see the people they belonged to!"
