Southeastern train delays between Faversham and Canterbury East station due to broken down train

A broken-down engineers train is causing delays for rail passengers between Faversham and Canterbury.

Services are expected to be cancelled, delayed or revised.

Rail officials have told travellers to expect delays until after noon this afternoon.

A train has broken down between Faversham and Canterbury East

Network Rail engineers have been sent to the scene to try and fix the broken down track machine at Bekesbourne - on the Canterbury East line.

Replacement buses are running between Canterbury East and Dover priory in both directions and trains are running normally at Canterbury East. Passengers delayed for more than 30 minutes they can claims part of their fare back at https://www.southeasternrailway.co.uk/compensation
