Faversham: Armed police called to Leading Light Wetherspoons after man walks in with gun

Armed police rushed to a town centre pub after a man walked in with a gun.

Police were called to the Leading Light Wetherspoons in Faversham just before 8.30am.

They arrested a man in the Faversham Creek area shortly before midday on suspicion of possessing an imitation firearm.

He has not yet been taken into custody.

One witness said up to four police cars were seen near the pub in Preston Street.

Police were called to the Leading Light pub in Preston Street

A police spokesman said inquiries are ongoing.
