M2 London-bound cleared following multi-vehicle accident

Drivers faced delays following a multi-vehicle crash on the M2.

Traffic built up on the London-bound stretch of the motorway between Junction 5 (Stockbury) and Junction 6 (Copton) as lane two was out of action, but it has since reopened.

It happened before the Junction 6 exit.

Traffic officers have moved the vehicles onto the hard shoulder.

A police spokeswoman said: "We received a report of a collision involving a number of vehicles at 6.11pm on Tuesday 3 December 2019.

"Officers are attending the scene on the Londonbound carriageway of the M2 between Junctions 6 and 7.

"No injuries have been reported"
