Missing man in Faversham sparks huge hunt involving police helicopter and Kent Search and Rescue

Specialist rescue teams and a police helicopter have been searching for a missing man since late last night.

Emergency crews were alerted shortly before 11pm following the man's disappearance from Faversham.

A helicopter was heard hovering over the town in the early hours.

The Kent Search and Rescue team is involved in the hunt for a missing man

Police confirmed this morning officers had been joined by volunteers from Kent Search and Rescue as they looked for the man.

A forensics van was seen in the town's Western Link this morning.

The search is still ongoing.
