M2 crash causing delays between Sittingbourne and Faversham

Police were called after a car overturned on the M2 following a crash with a lorry.

One lane was closed between J5 for Sittingbourne and J6 for Faversham after the crash which happened at around 12.15pm today.

The road has now re-opened and delays have cleared.

A police spokesman said: "The incident is reported to have involved a car and a lorry, and the car is reported to have landed on its roof on the embankment.

"The road was fully reopened by 1.50pm."

Three ambulances and two Hazardous Area Response Team vehicles attended and one patient has been taken to Medway Maritime Hospital.
