A host of celebrities gathered in Kent to say a final farewell to tragic Peaches Geldof.

The Duchess of York Sarah Ferguson, Rolling Stone Bill Wyman and Radio 1 DJ Nick Grimshaw were among the mourners in Davington, near Faversham.

Bob Geldof led the tributes to his 25-year-old daughter - whose coffin was adorned with a touching picture of her with husband Tom Cohen, their two sons Astala and Phaedra as well as the family pets.

Well-wishers lined the street outside the private service at St Mary Magdalene and St Lawrence church, which also held the final farewell to Peaches' mother Paula Yates.

People were also sending messages of support via social media, which you can read here, after Peaches' mystery death at her home in Wrotham on April 7.

Guests also included model and television star Jo Wood and journalist Mariella Frostrup.

The picturesque church - which sits next to the house of Peaches' father Bob Geldof - is where the funeral of Paula was held in 2000 following her death from a heroin overdose.

But it has also been the scene of family happiness, holding the weddings of both Peaches and her second husband Tom Cohen in 2012 and her parents 24 years earlier.

Bouquets were left outside the church following Peaches' sudden death, which remains unexplained after a post-mortem examination proved inconclusive.

The Rev Tracey Bateson, who led the service, said: "I will be there for him as much as possible, just as I would with any other parishioners."

Peaches, who grew up in Faversham, was reportedly found dead with her 11-month-old son Phaedra by her side.

Husband Tom is said to have tried to phone her before raising the alarm when she did not answer.

The police were alerted and Peaches was found dead at the Fairseat Lane property.

Villagers in her home of Davington were left stunned and saddened.

Neighbour and friend of the family Jacqi Hitchcock has lived in Priory Road for 56 years and has known Bob the entire time he has been living in Davington Priory.

Speaking of her memories of Peaches, she said: "I remember Peaches as a lovely girl. As a child, she was happy, creative and so very beautiful.

"I haven't seen her in Faversham since her wedding, but she was the most beautiful bride I have ever seen."

She added: "When they were children and young teenagers, they would spend a lot of their holidays here and I know why they loved it so very much – when they were in Faversham - they weren't celebrities, they were just children.

"They would go to Faversham pools, to Davington park, just like any other Faversham child."

Officials are still awaiting the results of toxicology tests before deciding if an inquest into Peaches' death needs to be held in Gravesend.
