Woman taken to hospital after being hit by car in Forbes Road, Faversham

A woman was taken to hospital after being hit by a car.

The collision happened in Forbes Road, Faversham at 7.40pm last night.

Police closed the road while the woman was treated by paramedics.

She was then taken to hospital in Ashford.

A police spokesman said: "Officers and the South East Coast Ambulance Service attended the scene where a woman was treated for injuries.

"She was taken to a local hospital for further medical attention."

A spokesman for ambulance said: "I can confirm we responded to reports a pedestrian had been hit by a vehicle.

"Ambulance crews attended the scene and the pedestrian was assessed and treated at the scene before being taken to William Harvey Hospital."
