The body of a man in his 70s was discovered in water by police late last night.

Officers were called at about 10pm yesterday to concerns for the wellbeing of a man believed to be in the Abbey Road area of Faversham.

The pensioner was found dead in the Creek near Standard Quay shortly before 11.20pm

Police say his death is not being treated as suspicious and a report will be prepared for the coroner.
