Police called to airsoft site in Faversham after motorist seen with ‘possible firearm’ on M2

There was a huge police response after a motorist was seen with a possible firearm on a motorway.

The force were called at about 6.30am yesterday following a sighting on the M2 coastbound near Cuxton.

Police were called to an airsoft site in Faversham

Police were later seen at an airsoft site in Faversham in relation to it.

A spokesman for the force said: “Officers located the vehicle in Uplees Road, Faversham, and arrested a 31-year-old man from London in connection with the incident.

“An imitation firearm was seized and later confirmed to be an airsoft weapon.

“The man was released without charge.”
