Has anyone ever told you, ‘you should’ve gone to Specsavers’…now you can in Faversham.

The opticians and audiologists will be moving into the former HSBC building on the corner of Preston Street and East Street – just over the road from John High.

Work is underway to transform the former bank and the doors are due to open by the beginning of March, creating seven new jobs.

The former HSBC is set to be a Specsavers opticians.

Store director Jason Gillan said: “We’re really looking forward to welcoming customers to the new store in Faversham which will offer both optical and hearing appointments.

“The store will have the latest testing equipment and technology so we can offer customers the best possible service.”

The HSBC store shut in February 2016 and has been empty ever since after the bank’s bosses said it was no longer ‘commercially viable’ in the town.
