Faversham railway station partially closed due to vandalism

Part of a station has been forced to close after it was vandalised.

The underpass from the ticket office to the platforms at Faversham station has been shut.

It is believed the incident happened last night.

Details of the vandalism are not known at this stage.

Southeastern sent out a tweet advising passengers to use the entrance from the station car park.

The accessible route is via Forbes Road and Aldred Road.

It is also understood a person has been arrested in connection with the incident.

British Transport Police have been contacted for comment.
