Faversham traffic delays after crash on A2 Canterbury Road near A251 Ashford Road junction

Three cars have been involved in a crash on a busy road.

One person was taken to hospital following the collision on the A2 Canterbury Road, Faversham.

The crash happened near the A251 Ashford Road junction and the road was partially blocked which led to traffic delays in the area.

Police confirmed they were called shortly after 9am today to the report of a collision involving three cars and officers attended with paramedics.

"No serious injuries were reported and one person was taken to a local hospital as a precaution," a spokesman for the force said.

"Patrols were away from the scene at around 12.13pm."

It is understood traffic was queuing on the A251 towards the M2 and on Ospringe Road.
