Three-legged Trev needs your help to fund a new elbow.

Vets have told the owners of Trevor, a seven-year-old rescue dog, that his only chance of being able to walk again is an elbow replacement.

The Staffordshire bull terrier had one of his legs amputated after a bad break two years ago but in the last few weeks he has deteriorated rapidly. He now can’t walk.

Trevor was referred to Noel Fitzpatrick vets, of Channel 4's The Supervet TV fame, where his owner Annie Silvester, 25, of St John's Road, Faversham, was given the news that her precious pet had chronic arthritis and the cartilage had been worn away between the joint.

Mr Fitzpatrick now wants to design him a specialist elbow replacement with long plates inserted in his limb to support his weight on the one leg.

Mr Fitzpatrick has never performed this surgery on a three-legged dog before.

But without generous donations, Annie, who works at Morrisons supermarket in Sittingbourne, has said funding the treatment may be impossible – it has an immense £10,000 price tag.

Annie, who has owned Trevor since he was a puppy, said: “He is a massive part of our family. He goes everywhere with us and is the best friend we could ever of asked for.

“The costs are so high we cannot source the funds in time as he will need the operation before he deteriorates further.

“Any help no matter how small will be greatly appreciated. If we manage to get to each quarter of the target, we will upload videos of our family being covered with baked beans or pelted with eggs – something funny for money!

“We would like to thank everyone in advance for your kindness. Any donation, any help, no matter how small, will be greatly appreciated.”

Trevor and Annie were filmed at Noel Fitzpatrick’s and if they are successful with their fundraising, may feature on The Supervet.
