Police and trading standards officers are hunting a pair of suspected rogue tree surgeons after they targeted homes in Faversham.

They were alerted at 11am on Wednesday after receiving a phone call from a concerned resident who had been quoted £360 just to prune trees.

The dodgy traders are believed to be in their mid 30s, tanned, shaven headed and with broad traveller accents, and one of the men had a stutter.

KCC advice to residents

They were clad in orange workwear, hard hats, visors and ear defenders, and were seen driving a plain white van with a cage on the back.

They were last seen driving in Preston Avenue heading towards Bramley Avenue on Wednesday. Residents have been asked to be vigilant.
