Two arrested after car chase in Faversham and Sittingbourne

Two men have been arrested in Faversham after a car chase in the early hours of today.

A police helicopter was also deployed to pursue the vehicle, which was eventually caught with the help of a stinger.

Officers originally attempted to stop the car, which was abandoned in Ethelbert Road at about 5.35am, in the St Michael's Road area of Sittingbourne.

Two men, aged 18 and 22 and both from Faversham, were arrested on suspicion of dangerous driving and failing to stop.

Both remain in police custody.
