Cars in Faversham and Ospringe damaged by vandals overnight

Cars parked throughout Faversham have been targeted by vandals overnight.

Many frustrated drivers awoke this morning to find their vehicles had been damaged in streets in the Ospringe area through to the town centre.

The incidents of criminal damage took place from about 9.30pm last night until the early hours of the morning.

It is believed to have been caused by suspects riding on bikes.

Sergeant Jason Hedges of the Swale Community Safety Unit said: "I would urge anyone who witnessed any of these incidents or has any information to come forward.

"If a member of public has had their vehicle damaged but has not yet reported it please do so.

"We would also like any evidence such as stones or projectiles found that may have been used to damage vehicles to be brought to our attention."

Anyone who has information that may assist the investigation or who has CCTV or dash cam footage from the area around the time of the incidents, is asked to call police on 01795 419119 quoting reference 28-1638.
