A 61-year-old woman is facing a jail sentence after admitting stabbing her partner.

Olive Ripley denied attempting to murder 70-year-old George Sherbourne and her guilty plea to causing him grievous bodily harm with intent was accepted.

She also admitted stealing a safe containing jewellery and cash.

Maidstone Crown Court

Ripley, of Lion Field, Faversham, entered the pleas by TV link between Maidstone Crown Court and Bronzefield Prison in Ashford, Surrey, on Wednesday.

The victim was treated at King’s College Hospital in London after he was stabbed in Norton on November 11.

Judge Adele Williams remanded Ripley in custody until sentence on February 9.
