British Transport Police hunting for man after a woman was sexually assaulted on a train from Bromley South and Faversham

A man will be interviewed by police tomorrow about a sexual assault on a sleeping train passenger.

He contacted officers voluntarily following the release yesterday of a CCTV image of a man after the alleged attack on December 4.

A 21-year-old woman says she fell asleep on a train between Bromley South and Faversham and woke to find a man touching her between her legs.

Cleaners on Southeastern and Southern trains may go on strike. Stock image.

The man got up and left the train either at Sittingbourne or Teynham station.

The assault happened between 11.40pm and 12.45am.
