Appeal launched following assault at shop in Park Farm Road, Folkestone

Police have issued an image of a suspected thief who headbutted a shop assistant.

The incident is said to have happened at B&M in Park Farm Road, Folkestone.

After a member of staff spoke to a man following a reported theft, he is said to have headbutted the worker before leaving the store.

The incident is said to have happened just before 6pm on Friday, January 29.

Police have now released an image of a man they would like to speak to as part of the investigation.

He is pictured wearing a mask and a dark coat.

A spokesman said: "Inquiries into the incident are ongoing and officers are releasing a CCTV image of a man they believe may be able to help the investigation."
