Armed police called to Marine Terrace, Folkestone, after man seen with weapon

These pictures show the moment armed police descended on Folkestone after a man was seen with a weapon.

Officers with guns and a dog unit were seen in Marine Terrace at about 9am.

A cordon was put in place but later taken down after a 31-year-old man was arrested. A weapon was also seized.

A spokesman said: "Kent Police was called at 8.29am on Saturday, October 10 2018 to a report of a man being seen with what was believed to be a weapon in Marine Terrace, Folkestone.

"Officers, along with firearms officers attended the scene and a 31-year-old man has been arrested.
