Brothers' £850m puts them in rich list

Roger De Haan

Roger De Haan, who is behind plans to transform Folkestone, features in the latest Sunday Times Rich List.

Mr De Haan and brother Peter, former bosses of Saga, are in 89th place with £850m.

Saga, which is based in Folkestone, was sold in 2004 for £1.35 billion.

It began as a holiday firm for the over fifties and now also offers insurance and other financial services.

Roger De Haan, 59,owns Folkestone seafront and harbour and wants to create a marina, luxury seafront flats, shops and restaurants, an ice rink and ferry berth along the coastal strip.

Peter De Haan, 56, runs a £120m wine and marketing operation.
