A stash of cannabis and cash was seized by police and a man has been arrested following a "proactive vehicle stop".

Officers pulled over a car at 2.15pm yesterday on the A20 in Hythe Road, Sellindge, between Ashford and Folkestone, near the Stock Lane/The Ridgeway crossroad.

They tweeted a snap of the haul showing about 20 portions of cannabis. There were also two bags of money and what appears to be mobile phones.

The tweet appears to show five branded Zkittlez bags, a particularly potent strain of cannabis.

A police spokesman said a 34-year-old man from Canterbury had been arrested on suspicion of possessing a class B drug with intent to supply and remained in custody as inquiries continued.
