There were lengthy delays on M20 in both directions after a car crashed into the central reservation.

One lane was closed eastbound and one westbound in between junction 12 for Cheriton and 11A for the Channel Tunnel.

Police were called to the scene as they filtered traffic through during rush-hour.

The carriageways fully reopened at 8.10pm.
